I have lived and worked in the Central Texas area since 1998 and have spent the past 16 years in the insurance industry. During that time, I served as an individual contributor for 3 years and have worked as a District Manager for the past 14 years.

I am proud to represent HealthMarkets Insurance Agency throughout Central Texas and several other states. Our mission is to serve the community by providing comprehensive benefits analyses and personalized insurance solutions for small businesses, families, and individuals.

Is life insurance available for people over 75 or 80?

Answer: Yes, general you can find a final expense policy that would satisfy these ages. Most people at these ages have some preexisting health conditions so final expense whole life insurance would satisfy this need.

What is the most common mistake people make when buying life insurance?

Answer: Most people do not get enough life insurance for themselves based on their debt, income, and thinking about how they want to leave their family after they pass.

Why do so many people let their life insurance policies lapse?

Answer: One of the main reasons is that they have a term life policy and they never converted the policy to a permanent policy. Secondly, it has become to expensive based on their debt, and they have to decide on putting food on the table or paying for their policy it this unprecedented economic times.

Can I use a life insurance policy to save for my child's college education?

Answer: Yes, Indexed Universal life policies are great for accumulating cash overtime and build a legacy of financial protection for years to come as the child becomes an adult and starts to plan for retirement.
