How much does a $250,000 life insurance policy cost?

Answered by 5 licensed agents

This is an unanswerable question. The premium on a policy is determined by many factors: Death Benefit, Age, location, health, type of policy(Term, Whole Life, Universal Life...), and can ask about occupations, hobbies, etc.

You should always sit down with a qualified Life broker who can find out what the purpose is for your life insurance and then make a recommendation for the right policy type and can shop for the best price.

A $250,000 term life insurance policy typically costs between $15 and $35 per month for a healthy adult in their 20s or 30s. However, if you opt for a $250,000 whole life insurance policy, the cost jumps significantly to around $150 to $300+ per month because it builds cash value and lasts your entire lifetime. Exact premiums depend on your age, gender, health status, and whether you smoke

The cost of the life insurance depends primarily on the insured's age (the younger you are, the lower the cost) and health classification.

It also depends on whether you choose Term or Permanent coverage.

Finally, if you opt for Term Life Insurance (which offers a lower monthly premium per amount of coverage), the price will vary based on your chosen length and whether your premiums stay level or increase annually.

It is very important to contact an agent to find the right product for your specific situation.

That is a tricky question question to answer without more information. Are we talking a term policy? An IUL? A whole life policy? Etc.? Different policies are available for different situations and have different costs. Also you have to take into consideration age, sex, and health when it comes to determining the price.

Life insurance premiums are based on Age, gender, health conditions and family history. Cost are variable. Whole Life premium is fixed. IUL has two products. One is protector the other one is accumulator. The premiums are various depends on the choice. Protector is for insurance purposes only. Accumulator is for people who want to the leverage cash value growth for tax free Capital gain. For a term life insurance $250k coverage is less than $40/m.
