Is life insurance available for people over 75 or 80?

Answered by 4 licensed agents

Yes! Term life insurance options become more limited as we get older. However, there are still many permanent life options available to folks in this age range. There are even plans that are guaranteed issue, meaning that you will get the coverage regardless of your health. What is available varies from state to state, so work with a good agent licensed in your state.

Yes, Life is insurance is available for people over 75. Some companies accept people up to the age of 89. Several factors go into consideration on the amount you can receive.

Hi, It may be possible to get final expense to cover the cost of the burial. It depends on your state of residency and you current age. Maximum amounts are usually no more than 25k and there's typically a 2 year waiting period to receive full face value for the policy. So it's not like your typical life insurance policy which pay off large debts like mortgages, college funds, cars, etc. They are designed to cover burial cost, not usually to pay off debt like a LIFE insurance policy. I hope this answers your question. If you provide a zip and date of birth I can narrow down your options.

Yes, you can. These plans are pricy at this age, and if you’re healthy, it’s a full benefit right away. If not, you can get a graded policy that has limited benefits for the first two years.
